I know I shouldn't be the one to set this up for you, but I couldn't help it. I just had to say something about this masterpiece thus far. And it goes a little something like this:
Well, that's all I have to say. By the way, Impact is a wonderful font to use. I know it's alleviating from the board basics, but I don't mind---I'll let it slide (this time ... Just kidding lol); heck, it can be a regular. I love Arcane Souls; great story thus far. Keep up the great work, and I hope to see more very soon. This is the Admin, signing out.
- Your characters (both original and unoriginal/real life/etc.) are magnetizing and believable. Your style of expressing their emotions is captivating, and I for one am drawn to this story because of this most of all. Great job on that part.
- I can honestly say that Insidious is my favorite character in the story now. Yes, he's the main antagonist, but there's always something passionate and alluring about an extremely concrete villain. They have so much drive to exact their nefarious scheme, and this one takes the cake (lol). Plus, I love how he plays mind games with Zephyr; that's always a plus in my book.
- Your overall plot for the story is incredible and reminiscent. It reminds of a mixture of Final Fantasy X and Kingdom Hearts with a hint of Fushigi Yuugi. That's an incredible concoction you've got there, ma'am. The mystery and overall appeal are what keeps me coming back for more.
- I'm really enjoying the character build-up/sub-plots you've created thus far. It seems like each character has something going on with someone else besides the previously established relationships. An amassing of sub-plots mixed with an overall main plot makes a story. That's what a lot of young authors fail to realize when it comes to stories, especially ones like this. Great job on that note.
- One element that I've grown attached to is the usage of the Arcana, which is related to the tarot and several card games involving the said subject. It's rather ironic and (dare I say) incredible how each person who's protected by an Arcana acts and behaves with impeccable accuracy to their respective entities. You've really done your research, and it makes following along more intriguing. Both Zephyr and the Curtis characters have lived up to their Arcana in everywhere possible. 5 Stars!
- I so love you for incorporating a merged, remastered and exciting version of the Final Fantasy XIII universe. As an FF fan, you've done a great job and embodying these characters and even giving them an original appeal that makes them lovable all over again. By the way, the Lightning/Caius battle was extremely epic; furthermore, you've revived my love for Fang---I'm such a fan-boy of hers because she's badass in every way imaginable (lol).
- The relationship between Syd and Mog is downright adorable. And the whole Aquila-turned-sentient Cait Sith spaceship plot twist is hilarious (I was dying in laughter and cooing all at the same time). The latter part reminds me of Tenchi Muyo's Ryo-Oh-Ki; the cute, fuzzy ears (cooing).
- Don't laugh at me but I can totally see a Curtis x Kai rivalry sub-plot at this point. Their chemistry centered with Zephyr is astounding, and (dare I say) it makes me jealous for personal reasons. Curtis has an extremely warm, tender sentiment towards Zephyr, and protective as well---just like a father. Kai is Zephyr's surrogate father and has known him for many years. A clash between these two would be so epic. I know it sounds malevolent, but I would love to see it.
- Some of the unoriginal characters from the story are (ironically) some of my favorite characters from others pop culture titles. Virtua Fighter, Street Fighter, the Tales series (Xillia in this case), Go Nagai's Cutie Honey series, Soul Caliber, Samurai Spirits (Shodown), Bleach---woman, seriously, you've capturing my heart here (lol). I wonder what else is in store for us (I know I can't speak for everyone, but yeah lol). Wonderful concoction you have there.
- I can also see that you have your own original writing format, which is a plus in my book. Yes, I know critics will say what they have to say (their opinions, blah, blah, blah, critique, yakkity-smack), but I'm supporting you. Some words and errors here and there, but I see that you revise your work. Good job doing so by the way. I appreciate your hard work and dedication (as with all our artists), especially since you have such a fluid and beautiful way of expressing your plots.
